We haven’t posted about the old Masters and renowned artists lately and we think we should definitely redeem ourselves. We are our past, and our past has given birth to such genius minds and talents who even though the whole world remembers still need to be talked about, admired, and appreciated on our days. That’s why we prepared this post to celebrate the greatest seascape painter of all time Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky.
The Armenian-Russian painter perfectly painted the hypnotizing essence of thundering waters. Being born in Feodosia a port town, Aivazovsky couldn’t help developing a strong bond and fondness towards the sea and the Black Sea has been his greatest passion and inspiration.
Half of Aivazovsky’s 6000+ paintings depict the sea in all its grace, the ferocious storms, tender waves, and the spectacular translucent waters.
The play with colors and light is simply stunning and the floating ships he often used in his paintings depict the eternal struggle of man and Nature.
There is so much sensitivity in the paintings and so much to talk about Aivazovsky’s art but we suggest scrolling down to admire the hypnotizing paintings by the greatest artist.
