Artist Removes Exaggerated Makeup From Dolls’ To Recreate Hyper-Realistic Faces

The hyper-realistic dolls somehow give the sense of freaky creatures from really creepy movies but not those made by Olga Kamenetskaya. Even though the artist admits that there are people who are scared and terrified by the realism of the dolls we still find them mind-blowingly fascinating.

Olga removes the eye-catching makeup from dolls’ faces, the vivid and exaggerated eyeshadows, lipsticks, and eyeliners to recreate a whole new face that says “Can you guess if I’m real or not?” She draws natural makeup, smaller and more real-like eyes and lips, then in the end she adds some wrinkles and freckles to freak us out with the character’s realness.

For the artist, the perfect symmetry of the doll’s face makes it lifeless and unreal that’s why in each of her works she never forgets to add a little imperfection and a human-like flaw that make her characters so charismatic and unique.

Check out the before and after photos of the artist’s works that reveal the perfection in flawed beauty.
