Artist Creates Extremely Detailed Gothic Sculptures From Mechanisms And Elements He Finds In Flea Markets And Auctions

Creativity is in the blood of a tattoo artist which he genuinely transfers on the flash of another human body. It’s not difficult for a tattoo artist to turn to another form of art after mastering so much detailed art as tattoo art is.

So the tattoo artist Jason Stieva decided it was time to bring his creativity and talent into assemblage art. It’s been already 20 years that Jason has engaged himself in creating three-dimensional substrates by assembling elements that he finds in thrift shops, flea markets, or auctions.

Mixing these elements with mechanisms he acquired from an old clockmaker’s estate, Jason creates incredibly detailed sculptures that are great examples of surrealism and Gothic style just as the series is called (Gothic Times). Jason enjoys every moment of the process and for him, the allure of working with these sculptures lies behind the absence of tight deadlines.

One of the artist’s most famous sculptures is the pirate ship which he spent more than a year creating. This and other astonishing works we have prepared in this post. Each of the artworks is mesmerizing with its extremely complicated details.
