We just love sharing inspiring stories about unique people that sometimes are not fully accepted by society but eventually realize how rare they are and embrace their beautiful selves. Ash Soto is one of them who was diagnosed with vitiligo when she was 12. Kids are more sensitive to the reactions of the surrounding world especially after being asked if she had showered in bleach.
Ash was ashamed of her body and was afraid to show it to the world once she realized that wearing long sleeves won’t make the situation any better and easier for her. Instead, she challenged herself to take long walks with short-sleeved shirts and this was the first step in her journey to self embracement.
Ash has turned her body into a work of art by just tracing it with a black marker to highlight the difference in colors and realized how beautiful her body actually looks. From that moment on she has been practicing various pieces of art on her body and make her “imperfection” (as many will call it) into her own kind of perfection.
This girl is really inspiring. Scroll down to see the photos and admire both her beauty, talent, and willpower!
#1. “Now what others would perceive as an imperfection I have made into something more beautiful and made it more accepted than before.”
